About Our Process

An overview of our Services

1. Pre-Discussion

Professional Video Services

The video production process starts with discussing the steps, your event, your vision, and your requirements in detail. Drawing on our experience, we can help you plan, provide suggestions on what would look good and help you make the right decisions. We customize our services to meet your needs. So, we also discuss any special requests that you may have. Together, we will come to an agreement on coverage, deliverables, timelines, and cost. Your event is then added to our schedule, and we start planning. You and we will stay in touch to make any necessary adjustments as your event approaches.

2. Video Recording

The video shoot details are planned ahead of time - type of cameras, placements, role, coverage and so on, all keeping the final product in mind. We arrive at your event venue early to set up our cameras and ensure we have the necessary angles for close-ups and wide shots. If you have an event rehearsal at the venue, we may attend to get familiar with the event or set up our cameras or get trial recordings. Unless limited by practical considerations or need, we typically use 4-6 cameras for an event. Some cameras will have operators and some unmanned. In addition to good coverage, these cameras also ensure redundancy. For some kinds of events, we may also deploy roaming cameras for better coverage. We use reputed brand professional 4K cameras and are equipped with all required accessories and connections.

3. Sound Recording

sound recording video

Good audio is critical for a good video. We will have ambient audio from built-in microphones on some of our cameras, but we also record sound through boom and shotgun microphones on other cameras to ensure we get the best quality audio recording possible. We will also record directly from the venue audio mixer if the venue is equipped with it. If necessary, we also use standalone audio recorders or do direct sound recordings of onstage performers with lapel microphones.

4. Live Streaming

We set up and share a YouTube live stream link ahead of time so that you can share it with your remote audience. The link is usually unlisted and provided only to you. So the sharing is entirely up to you. Up to 4 cameras will be included in the HD live stream, and camera switching will happen in real time to provide relevant and immersive content for online viewers. You will have the streamed HD video recording readily available on YouTube as soon as the event concludes. Live streaming must be requested and discussed prior to the event. For best results, high speed ethernet connection is needed at the venue.

5. Video Editing

Video Editing Services San Diego

This post processing is the most time consuming and expert phase of a video production. All raw camera files will be thoroughly reviewed in order to merge the best shots and angles together. Color correction, brightness correction, stabilization and dynamic cropping may be done to get the best overall video quality. We will insert other relevant materials such as photos, brochures, slide shows, and any other video or audio that may have been presented during the event. Subtitles will be added as necessary. Any special requests that we agreed upon, E.g., Picture-in-Picture or preference on certain angles, will be incorporated

6. Audio Editing

We will find the best audio from our various sound recordings and use it for your video. Audio may be selectively combined from different recordings for better effect and overall quality. Audio corrections will be done if possible, including volume equalization, unwanted sound removal and noise reduction. Appropriate background music of your choice or our selection may be added as necessary.

7. Delivery

Video File Delivery

Videos will be provided in 4K using the latest HEVC (H.265) video codec. We also provide all those videos in HD format as well. Your video can be delivered as a single file covering the whole event, and also as separate files for different items within the event. If the event included a live orchestra, music from the event will be provided as separate MP3 audio files. If requested, we can also provide all raw camera files. Everything is yours to keep and cherish.

If you provide a suitable size storage, we will copy all the videos on it for you. Alternatively, we can get one for you, copy the videos and ship it to your home. Smaller size videos may be delivered online for your downloading.

We can go back and make changes to your edited video if necessary. Please note that we will only keep your event raw files for two weeks after the final product is delivered and can make changes only during those 2 weeks.
